How do I make sure my blues don’t turn out purple?

When you want some blue in your design, always leave a minimum 30% difference in your Cyan and Magenta values.

Blue and purple are close in the CMYK spectrum. Remember to use a low amount of magenta whenever you are using higher amounts of cyan to evade purple.
