There isn’t really a right or wrong answer to this question. It all depends on the type of business you have and which contact channel you’d like to emphasize.
Some business owners wish to be contacted by phone and others prefer to have a bit of separation by using email.
At any rate, our main and only rule is: LESS IS MORE!
The US Standard business card size is 2″ x 3.5″, which means, design-wise, you have a very modest amount of real estate to work with. So for the love of Jeebus, please don’t try to write a novel on such a tiny piece of paper.
Your average card includes things like Name, Phone, Email, Company Name, Address, and nowadays 1 or 2 social handles.
From a design standpoint, the less info you include and the more negative space (blank space) you use, the stronger the aesthetic impact when you finally get around to handing your card to a prospect.
Think of a card with only a big centered URL on it like www.yocheckmeout.com – This would obviously drive traffic to your website whereby people could likely find other ways to contact you or perform some other desired conversion oriented act.
It all depends on what action you want your prospect to take.
So again, this just our humble opinion, but we are sorta business card experts so it is safe to trust this info.
Less is more! Now, happy designing!
