    01 — The idea

Interlocking rings fail in foil when the stroke is too thin or the weave is inconsistent.

    Client

    A wedding ring maker

    Construction

Two rings of identical diameter on one horizontal line, drawn as an even-weight outline, interlocking in a clean over-under weave.

    05 — Clear space

Clear space equals one ring diameter on all four sides.
Minimum 12 mm wide. The weave gaps close below that.

09 — Do and do not

Hold one stroke weight the whole way round both rings

Break the back ring with a white gap of that same width

Track the descriptor to the width of the wordmark

    Never stack the rings vertically

Never thin the stroke to fit a smaller space

Never let the weave gaps close under foil pressure
