Studio note
Wildcard — outside the locked palette. This is the counterpoint: a steel-and-cherry mixed-material card that turns the reference photo's confetti into a physical object. Small rectangular cut-throughs are laser-cut through the brushed steel face, revealing warm cherry wood underneath — the same scattered-rectangle rhythm as the confetti falling in the couple's photo. All type is laser-deboss into the steel surface on a strict baseline grid — quiet, systematic, Swiss — so the playful confetti cut-throughs do all the expressive work. The card sits flat on stone under overhead light, and the cherry glows warm through each little window. No ink, no foil, no paper — just metal and wood and light. The finish is held back to the mark alone, which is the cheapest way to run it and the quietest way to use it.
