Het idee
Numerai is een door AI gestuurd, gecrowdsourcet hedgefonds in San Francisco, in 2015 opgericht door Richard Craib. Datawetenschappers dienen modellen in voor het toernooi en het fonds handelt op de gecombineerde voorspellingen. JPMorgan Asset Management heeft € 459 miljoen aan capaciteit in het fonds vastgelegd.

Waarom het werkt
One black foil plate does the whole pattern on two surfaces. On the uncoated paper it is sheen against flat black. On the white foil hexagon it is solid black against white. Foil holds on foil, so a second colour can sit under the pattern without breaking it.
