Edge Mobile Sharpening ↗Impossible to lose
Portrait card for Edge Mobile Sharpening: a bold slanted E over a black roundel on fluorescent orange stock, the roundel in raised high-gloss coating, and a matching reverse with the owner's name, email, website and phone in black.

The idea
Edge Mobile Sharpening is a mobile knife and tool sharpening service run by Paul Edgerton, who has a fine arts degree in metals and started the business in 2017. He sharpens kitchen knives, stylist and grooming shears, scissors and garden tools.
Two rules
- 01Fluorescent, on purpose. A fluorescent orange stock, not a printed flood.
- 02A raised gloss roundel. Raised high-gloss coating over the black roundel, so it catches light like polished steel.
Why it works
Nobody keeps a sharpening service's card in a wallet. They keep it in a drawer, so this one is made to be easy to find.
Start from these materials
Same paper, foil and finish, locked in — nothing of Edge Mobile Sharpening's artwork comes with it.
Questions
- Can you print on fluorescent paper?
- Yes. Black and dark inks work best, and the stock does the glowing.
- What is raised spot UV?
- A thick clear gloss coating applied to one area, so it has height and shine.
- Does fluorescent paper fade?
- It can fade over years in direct sunlight, but it holds well in a wallet or drawer.
