PTC — hangtags
PTC sent a one-page spec. The palm tree is debossed, not printed, so the tag reads as a mark before it reads as a label.

Two rules
- 01Deboss instead of print. Blind debossed the palm into 32pt uncoated so there is enough caliper to take the depth without a ghost on the reverse.
- 02Hole, cord and pin as one spec. Set the hole with a full diameter of margin above it, punched after the deboss, then hand-strung 2 inch black waxed cotton.
The brief
Swing tag 2×3.5 in on 32pt uncoated off-white stock, 5 mm punched hole, strung with 2 in black waxed cotton cord and a black safety pin; a palm-tree logo blind debossed at the top, wordmark and care text in black print beneath; three tags fanned.

Questions
- What is the PTC hangtags printed on?
- 32pt uncoated off-white, Blind deboss, Black print, 2 in black waxed cotton cord, 5 mm hole. Every line of that spec is what actually ran, not a proposal.
- Why deboss instead of print?
- A printed mark on an uncoated tag competes with the black type; a deboss on thin stock shows through the back. Blind debossed the palm into 32pt uncoated so there is enough caliper to take the depth without a ghost on the reverse.
- Can Print Peppermint print this specification again?
- Yes. The materials on this page are live registry items, and the Studio link opens with the same paper, foil and finish locked in for your own artwork.
