A photograph on a business card without the gloss
Dark botanical photography fading into a deep aubergine field, cream type, and a cream reverse. Silk stock instead of a laminate so the photograph reads without a glare.

The idea
A florist whose work is dark and dramatic wanted a card that looked like their arrangements, not like a stationery product. Photography on both sides, nothing shiny.
Two rules
- 01Silk over soft-touch. 32pt silk, no laminate. The stock is matte by itself and holds the shadow detail in the leaves.
- 02Dark-to-dark fade. Built the aubergine from the same four-colour mix as the photograph so the transition is one continuous separation, not two.
