About Holographic Foil
Holographic foil is a special type of hot stamping foil that contains a micro-embossed pattern within the metallic surface. This pattern diffracts light into a full rainbow spectrum — shifting from pink to green to blue to gold depending on the viewing angle.
The effect is sometimes called iridescent, rainbow, or spectrum foil. It's produced using the same hot foil stamping technique as gold or silver foil — a heated metal die transfers the foil onto paper — but the visual result is dramatically different.
We pair holographic foil with soft touch matte paper because the contrast between the velvet-finish surface and the high-shine iridescent foil creates the most striking effect.
