Studio concept
An emblem you can only see at an angle
A studio concept: a spirits box whose emblem is debossed in gloss on matte ivory board, sitting on a mirror-copper lattice base.

Two rules
- 01Sheen instead of colour. Specify a matte board so the gloss has something to contrast with, and brief the shelf shot in raking light.
- 02Keep the shine at the base. Mirror copper on the lattice base only, with the debossed lid left entirely matte.

Same paper, foil and finish, locked in — nothing of this piece artwork comes with it.
Questions
- Can you deboss in gloss without printing any ink?
- Yes — a heated die on a matte board burnishes the surface, so the debossed area comes up glossy while everything around it stays flat. It reads only in raking light, so it belongs on a box that gets picked up, not on a shelf-facing panel. Start a quote with this spec.
