Studio note
Produced on Gmund Leather — Coal (deep near-black, leather grain) (300gsm). the cut edge carries the same colour. For the client Artistry, we’ve chosen a deep black uncoated stock to provide a rich, dramatic canvas for the red Chenhui 155-8 Navy Foil. The bold typography on the front, partially cropped, creates a sense of an 'obelisk' or monumental presence, perfectly embodying the 'Chasing the Monolith' theme. The red metallic text paired with matching painted edges evokes a strong, passionate brand identity that feels both modern and artistic, making it a powerful statement piece in hand. Gmund Leather — Coal (deep near-black, leather grain) is dyed through, so the colour runs the full thickness of the sheet — the cut edge shows solid black on its own. That's the edge treatment, and it costs nothing. We kept the metallic restrained — the mark plus one small element. Restraint reads more expensive on press, and it costs less to make.
