    Kraft Business Cards

18pt uncoated brown kraft — unbleached, uncoated, unapologetic. The natural brown color is the paper's real color, not a dye. Print in full color directly on the kraft for earthy muted tones, use white ink for clean contrast, or combine both for vibrant colors on a natural surface.

    Print Style

How should your card be printed?

White ink printed first as an opaque base layer, then CMYK color printed on top. Colors appear true and vibrant because they sit on white instead of brown. The kraft is still visible in unprinted areas. Best when your design needs accurate brand colors alongside the kraft texture.

    About White Ink on Kraft

White ink on kraft is one of the simplest and most striking combinations in print. The contrast between bright white and natural brown creates an immediate visual impact with no other colors needed.

When printing color on kraft without white ink, the brown paper acts as a filter — every color mixes with the brown. Blues become teal, reds become rust, yellows warm into gold. This can be beautiful, but your brand colors will shift.

White base ink solves this. A layer of opaque white is printed first in the specific areas where you need accurate color. Then your CMYK artwork is printed on top of the white layer. The result: true-to-brand colors in the areas that matter, with natural kraft showing everywhere else.

In your file, white ink areas are specified as a separate spot color layer. Our team can help set this up if needed.

    File Requirements
    • Upload your print-ready files after checkout
    • Accepted formats: PDF, AI, PSD, EPS (CMYK, 300dpi, with bleed)
    • Color on Kraft: supply standard CMYK artwork. Remember — there is no white on kraft. Any area you leave unprinted will show brown kraft.
    • White Ink: supply white elements as a separate spot color layer named "White Ink"
    • Color + White Base: supply your CMYK artwork as normal, PLUS a separate layer showing where white base should be printed underneath. We'll align the layers in production.
    • We'll send a digital proof for your approval before production
    About Kraft Business Cards

Kraft paper says something specific. It says natural, honest, handmade, considered. It's the paper of farmer's markets, specialty coffee, small-batch production, artisan goods. It signals that you chose this material on purpose — not because it was the default, but because it means something to your brand.

The unbleached brown color and visible fiber texture make kraft cards feel different from any coated stock. They're lighter in hand (no lamination, no coating), softer to the touch, and they age with a warmth that coated papers don't have.

White ink on kraft is a reliable combination for good reason — the contrast is bold and clean without needing any color at all. A white logo on brown kraft is minimal, sustainable-looking, and immediately recognizable.
