CYBEX × Jeremy Scott ↗Black board. Gold wings.
A presentation hang tag for the CYBEX by Jeremy Scott Wings collection at CYBEX's New York flagship on Greene Street: 700 to 900 gsm black duplex soft-touch board, gold hot foil on both sides, white ink for the type and a laser-cut tag shape with an oval slot.

The idea
A presentation hang tag for the CYBEX by Jeremy Scott Wings collection at the CYBEX flagship on Greene Street: black soft-touch board where only the gold shines.
Four rules
- 01Black, and heavy. 700 to 900 gsm duplex black board with a soft-touch surface. Two plies laminated together make it stiff enough to hold its shape, and the v…
- 02Foil, not ink, for the gold. Gold hot foil on both sides: the wings and the CYBEX by Jeremy Scott logo on the front, the logo again on the back.
- 03White ink for the words. Opaque white ink for all the type and as a solid base under the QR code, with the code itself printed in black on top. The logo above stays…
- 04Laser-cut, with a slot. Laser-cut to CYBEX's cutline at 100 × 225 mm, slot included. No die.
The brief
In November 2025 CYBEX opened its first flagship store in New York, at 127 Greene Street in SoHo's Cast-Iron District. The store also carries the brand's collaborations with the designer Jeremy Scott, including Wings, his second collection with CYBEX: black, gold, and a pair of wings.
In July 2026 the CYBEX team asked us for a presentation hang tag for Wings. The artwork was theirs and already finished: a tall tag with angled shoulders and an oval slot, gold wings and the CYBEX by Jeremy Scott logo on the front, and on the back the story, the store's address and a QR code.
Our job was to make it feel like the product it hangs on. Black that stays black, gold that looks like metal, and a tag heavy enough that it doesn't flutter.

At 127 Greene Street
SoHo's cast-iron façades are mostly white, grey and black, and so is the Wings collection apart from its gold. That gave us the idea for the film: show the street in black and white, keep only the gold in colour, and switch to full colour once you're inside the store.
The tag does the same thing on a shelf. On black soft-touch board the only reflective surface is the foil, so the wings are what catches the eye first.
The concept render
While quoting, we made a render to show CYBEX how the tag could look in the hand. That render also tried a gilded edge. The approved proof is gold foil and ink only, with no edge gilding, and that's what the page and the film show.
What this build is good for
Black soft-touch board with gold foil suits brands whose product is already black and metal: fashion, eyewear, watches, spirits, premium kit. The foil only reads as metal because nothing else on the board shines.
Keep fine type in white ink and save the foil for the mark. Very thin foil lines and very small type on a soft-touch surface can fill in, so the wings here are drawn as clean outlines at a generous size.
Laser cutting suits a short presentation run like this one, or a shape that's still changing, because there's no cutting die to make. For a long production run we'd look at a die again.
How we made the film
The film borrows from Wim Wenders' Wings of Desire (1987), shot by Henri Alekan: angels watching a city in black and white, with colour kept for the human world. We used the same rule. Greene Street is in black and white, only the gold on the tag keeps its colour, and inside the store everything turns to colour.
Every scene is generated with AI, using CYBEX's print files as the reference for the tag, so the shape, the wings and the copy match the real thing. The winged figure is an anonymous extra seen from behind; we didn't recreate Jeremy Scott or anyone else. CYBEX and CYBEX by Jeremy Scott are trademarks of their owners, and the film is not affiliated with any film or filmmaker.

Same paper, foil and finish, locked in — nothing of CYBEX × Jeremy Scott's artwork comes with it.
Questions
- Can a hang tag be printed on very thick board?
- Yes. The CYBEX tag is 700 to 900 gsm duplex black board: two plies laminated together, so it stays flat and rigid when it hangs. Heavy duplex board also takes hot foil and white ink well.
- Can you hot foil both sides of a hang tag?
- Yes. Each side is stamped in its own pass. On the CYBEX tag the front carries the gold foil wings and logo, and the back carries the logo again above the printed copy.
- How do you print readable text on a black hang tag?
- With opaque white ink. Ordinary process inks sink into black board and almost vanish, so the type on the CYBEX tag is printed in white, and the QR code sits on a solid white base with the code printed in black on top.
- Can a hang tag have a custom shape and hole?
- Yes. The CYBEX tag is laser-cut to the client's own outline, with angled shoulders and an oval slot. Laser cutting needs no cutting die, which makes it a good fit for short runs and prototypes.
- What does soft-touch do on a hang tag?
- Soft-touch gives the board a velvety matte surface. On a black tag it keeps the black deep and non-reflective, so metallic foil stands out more.
- Can you make a small presentation run before full production?
- Yes. This CYBEX project was a presentation run of two tags for the New York flagship, built to the same specification a production run would use.
