Raised foil, real height.
Digitally raised gold, silver or holographic foil stands above matte or soft-touch laminate. This is a tactile metallic mark, not an impression in cotton.

How it is made
A digitally applied raised layer carries the foil above the printed and laminated sheet. Gold, silver or holographic foil can be selected, but each design uses one raised foil colour.
Use matte or soft-touch laminate, never raw cotton. Keep total coverage at most 30%, with no solid area larger than 1 × 1 in. Leave generous space around small details.

| Substrate | Verdict | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Matte-laminated stock | Excellent | The sealed film supports the digitally raised foil layer. |
| Soft-touch laminated stock | Excellent | The smooth matte film supports raised metallic detail. |
| Uncoated & 100% cotton | No | Raised foil is never applied to cotton; choose hot foil stamping. |

Soft-touch laminate
Soft touch is a thin, uniform laminate bonded over a printed sheet. The drag is tactile, but the surface stays visually smooth: never fuzzy, flocked or textile-like.
Foil stamping
A heated die transfers a metallic film onto the stock under pressure. Not printed, not simulated: a layer of metal with an impression around it.
Common questions
- Can raised foil go on cotton?
- No. Raised foil needs matte or soft-touch laminate. Choose hot foil stamping for an uncoated cotton sheet.
- Can I use two raised foil colours or a large solid?
- Use one raised foil colour per design. Total coverage is at most 30%, and no solid area may exceed 1 × 1 in. Text starts at 10 pt, or 12 pt bold.
