Matched multi-level dies shape several heights and rounded transitions in the sheet. Thick cotton is the best starting point because its soft fibre can carry the relief.
The emboss shows through a single ply as a mirrored recess. Emboss the face before duplexing when the back must stay clean, or use a deboss instead.

Duplex en triplex
Duplex verbindt twee bedrukte lagen tot één geheel. Triplex voegt een derde laag toe, vaak een contrasterende kern die de snijrand tot een bewuste lijn maakt.
