Paper Details
Stock: 16pt C2S (coated two sides) with matte oil coating. Thickness: approximately 0.4mm — standard business card weight. Finish: smooth matte surface that absorbs light rather than reflecting it. Colors appear slightly softer and warmer compared to glossy. Rich blacks and dark tones are deep and even.
The matte coating resists fingerprints and smudging better than uncoated paper. Not writable with pen (the coating repels ink) — choose Uncoated if you need to write on your cards.

About Matte Business Cards
Matte works with nearly every design. Minimalist typography, bold photography, dense information layouts — matte treats them all equally well because it never competes with the design. There's no glare to fight when reading text, no reflection to distract from the image.
The matte oil coating also has practical benefits. It resists fingerprints, which means a stack of matte cards looks clean even after an evening of handshakes. The surface feels smooth but not slippery — substantial without being heavy.
If you want the matte aesthetic with a more premium feel, see our Silk Laminate or Soft Touch cards. Silk adds a subtle satin sheen and scuff resistance. Soft Touch adds a velvet texture that people notice immediately.
