A warm card for a calm practice

Card for acupuncturist Meghan Ewing, L.Ac.: a round gold foil emblem and the light lowercase name with 'Acupuncture + Herbs' on dusty rose stock, and a gold foil reverse with clinic details.

Business-cards for Meghan Ewing with gold and two-sided foil stamping and dusty rose stock.

    The idea

Meghan Ewing is a licensed acupuncturist (L.Ac.) offering acupuncture and herbal medicine.

    Two rules

    1. 01A coloured sheet. A dusty rose stock dyed through the sheet.
    2. 02A solid foil emblem. A solid gold roundel with the illustration reversed out.

    Why it works

It feels like a wellness practice without the usual clichés: warm paper, one gold seal and light type.

    Start from these materials

Same paper, foil and finish, locked in — nothing of Meghan Ewing's artwork comes with it.

    Questions

Can illustration be reversed out of foil?
Yes. Reversed lines need to stay open so the foil doesn't fill in, and we check them at proof.
Does gold foil suit pink stock?
Yes, warm gold on dusty rose is a soft, premium pairing.
Is a dyed-through stock better than printing colour?
Yes. The edges match and foil lands on real paper.
