Standard Business Cards

Matte (16pt): Matte oil coating applied to both sides. Smooth, non-reflective surface. Colors print softer than on glossy. Good for text-heavy designs, minimalist layouts, and professional services.

Glossy (16pt): Gloss UV coating on both sides. Reflective, vibrant surface. Colors appear more saturated. Good for photography, food businesses, real estate, and designs with bold imagery.

Silk Laminate (16pt): Silk lamination on both sides. Satin-smooth surface with a subtle sheen — not as flat as matte, not as shiny as glossy. Scuff-resistant and durable.

Uncoated (14pt): No coating or lamination. Natural paper surface with visible fiber texture. Ink absorbs into the paper for a softer, warmer color appearance. Easy to write on with pen — good for cards where you handwrite appointment times, notes, or personal details.

The US standard business card — 3.5 inches by 2 inches — has been the default format for decades because it fits perfectly in wallets, card holders, and rolodexes. Every card holder ever made was designed for this size.

Standard doesn't mean basic. A well-designed card on good paper stock makes a stronger impression than a poorly designed card on expensive material.
