Look and feel
A flat wire strip in a paper or plastic sleeve, glued across the top. Roll the bag down and bend the ends back.
Printing on it
Pairs well with a printed or foil hang tag threaded on the tie.
Barrier and shelf life
It isn't airtight. It closes the bag; it doesn't seal it.
After use
Neither recyclable nor compostable. Tell your customers to pull it off before the bag goes in the bin.

Small-batch coffee, tea and dry goods sold through a short supply chain.

Matte BOPP / metallised PET / PE pouch
The matte black (or matte anything) coffee pouch.

Mono-material PE pouch
Brands that need a recyclable claim on the back panel and can live with a softer hand.

Metallised and iridescent film
Pouches where the film itself is the whole idea.
