Rounded corners, a softer outline.
A standard 1/8 in radius softens the corners without changing the piece into a different shape. Paper, plastic and metal can all take rounded corners.

How it is made
The corner radius belongs in the artwork from the start, so borders and small type stay clear of the curved trim. The standard radius is 1/8 in; other radii are available on request.
Paper, plastic and metal use tools suited to their material. A rounded outline can accompany face finishes and foiled edges when the construction permits.
What the screen cannot show
A photograph cannot convey height, friction or edge quality. Order the sample kit to compare finishes in your hand.

| Substrate | Verdict | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Uncoated & 100% cotton | Excellent | Paper can be rounded to the standard 1/8 in radius. |
| Colour-through (dyed) stock | Excellent | The rounded cut keeps the sheet colour. |
| Coated silk & matte stock | Excellent | Paper corners are cut to the chosen radius. |
| Matte-laminated stock | Excellent | Round the bonded laminated sheet with a clean cut. |
| Soft-touch laminated stock | Excellent | Round after the film is bonded. |
| Thick board, duplex & triplex | Excellent | Round after bonding and trimming. |
| Stainless & brass | Excellent | Material-appropriate tooling rounds sheet metal. |
| Clear & frosted plastic | Excellent | Material-appropriate tooling rounds plastic cleanly. |

Pairs well with
Custom shapes
A steel rule cuts the printed sheet to a repeatable silhouette. The outline belongs in the specification, the proof and the price: not only in the mockup.
Foiled edges
A reflective metallic layer is applied to the trimmed perimeter of a thick piece. It reads as a flash when the stack moves, not as a painted stripe.
Common questions
- What is the standard corner radius?
- 1/8 in. Other radii are available on request; keep the chosen curve in the artwork and trim specification.
- Can plastic and metal have rounded corners?
- Yes. Both can be rounded using material-appropriate tools, as can paper.
