Peppermint design exploration
One brief, twelve design movements: the same 24 days, built the way each era would have built them, from papers and foils we actually stock.
01 Let each movement change the object: a book, an arch, a cube, building blocks, a skyscraper, a turning hatbox, a monolith.

Pairs beautifully with
Three combinations that hold up on press. Open one and the Studio starts with the stock, the foil and the ink already locked in.
Colorplan Ebony + opaque white foil
The house answer for white type on black. Letterpress and offset inks are translucent — white ink on Ebony reads grey and dirty. An opaque white pigment foil sits on top of the sheet and stays white, and because Ebony is dyed through the cut edge stays black instead of flashing a white core.

Start this combinationColorplan Ebony + bright gold foil
The most-run combination we have. Ebony's tooth kills any reflection around the stamp, so the gold is the only thing in the piece that moves under light. Fine detail survives foil; we design to 0.15 mm and check the actual texture, adjusting only lines under 0.1 mm.

Matte Sage Gold is the only honest way to get a light mark onto a sheet this dark — ink would sink into it. On a smooth dyed-through stock the foil sits proud and the sheet stays matte around it.
