    Notary Business Cards

Trust starts with the handshake. The notary card you leave behind should look like you checked every line.

A good notary business card says "Notary Public" or "Notary Signing Agent", your name, the counties you cover and how to book you, on paper you can write an appointment on. Leave off your official seal. We make public notary business cards from 52 US$ for 100, proofed by a person, shipping in 3–4 business days to about 3 weeks after proof approval.

    Write-on uncoated from 52 US$ for 100 · gold foil on 32pt cotton from 310 US$ for 250

Our Standard line ships in 3–4 business days; cotton and foil take about 3 weeks. Both after you approve your proof (estimates), with free shipping within the continental US.

Notary signing agent business cards: what title and escrow offices notice

Loan signing agent business cards are read by the title officer, the escrow assistant and the loan officer, not the borrower, and that's where the next job comes from. They see dozens of cards. What they keep is the one that says, in one line, that you're certified, available and local: "Notary Signing Agent · Mobile · [county]", a direct cell, an email, and a booking link. Put your certification on it if you hold one, and follow the certifying body's rules for their mark. Leave the commission number off: it expires, and the card shouldn't.

    See the signing agent concept

What a careful card feels like

Thirty-two point cotton is about as thick as a credit card and soft at the edges, like good stationery. A pen glides on it and the ink stays put. Gold foil sits slightly into the surface; run a thumb across your name and you can feel it. An embossed emblem reads by shadow: under a window it rises, under flat office light it's almost a whisper. That restraint is the point.

Overhead flat lay of five notary business cards: foil, letterpress, emboss, write-on, navy silver foil

Three things that get notary cards wrong (and one that gets notaries in trouble)

    1. 1

Your official seal on the card.

In California the official seal may be used only for notarial acts, and other states have similar rules. A seal or stamp impression on a marketing card can be a violation. Our fix: we design a seal-style emblem from your initials or business name instead, and never reproduce a commission seal or stamp. Check your state's notary handbook.

    2. 2

A card you can't write on.

Gloss, silk, soft touch and laminate resist ballpoint. Notaries write appointment times and reference numbers on cards. Our fix: uncoated or cotton, at least on the back.

    3. 3

Details that go out of date.

Commission numbers and expiry dates change; print them and the card has a shelf life. Our fix: we leave them off unless your state requires them, and put the stable details (name, title, counties, booking link) on the card.

    4. 4

      A missing disclosure.

Some states require non-attorney notaries who advertise to include a notice that they aren't attorneys and can't give legal advice, especially in languages other than English. Our fix: tell us your state and languages, and we'll leave room on the proof for the exact wording your state requires.

Small text in foil fills in. We set contact lines in ink and keep foil for your name and emblem.

Make it yours: finishes for a notary card

    • Plain white uncoated business card with blue ballpoint appointment time handwritten, pen on black stone

      Write-on paper: uncoated and cotton

Uncoated 14pt is the plain, fast option: no coating, so a ballpoint writes cleanly. Cotton is the step up: soft, thick, and it takes letterpress and foil with a little bite. Matte is smooth and glare-free but coated, so it's a poor writing surface.

      uncoated business cardsmatte business cards

    • Three business cards edge-on: 14pt, 32pt and 48pt thickness compared

      Thick business cards

32pt is two sheets bonded into one; it doesn't flex when you hand it across a table. 48pt is three, and a statement that most notaries don't need.

      thick business cards

    • Macro of gold foil pressed into thick cotton business card stock

      Gold foil accents

A metal film pressed in with heat and a die. Matte gold reads calm; bright gold reads bold. One die per colour. Foil text stays 7 pt or larger, so contact lines go in ink.

gold foil business cardsflat foil on silkcustom foil on cotton

    • Macro of blind embossed OV monogram ring on white cotton card with gold foil name below

      Embossed emblem

The paper is pressed between two metal dies so your emblem rises off the card, no ink needed. It reads by shadow. On a single sheet the back shows the mirror image; on 32pt duplex it stays clean. Your emblem, not your official seal.

      embossed business cards

    • Duplexed cotton business card letterpressed in one black ink on both sides, no decoration

      Letterpress in one ink

Ink pressed into thick cotton so every line sits in a slight crevice. One colour (navy, charcoal, black) is all a notary card needs.

    How proofing works

    Notary business card questions

What should be on a notary business card?

Your name, "Notary Public" or "Notary Signing Agent", the services you offer (mobile, loan signings, remote online if you do it), the counties or areas you cover, a direct phone number, email and a booking link or QR code. Add any disclosure your state requires. Leave off your official seal and, usually, your commission number.

Can a notary use their seal on business cards?

Generally, no. In California the official seal may be used only for notarial acts, and other states have similar rules. We design a seal-style emblem from your initials or business name instead, and we never reproduce a commission seal or stamp. Check your state's notary handbook.

Should I put my commission number on my business card?

Most notaries leave it off: it changes when you renew, and it isn't needed to book you. If your state requires it in advertising, we'll add it in small type in ink.

What should be on a notary public card versus a signing agent card?

A notary public card leads with "Notary Public" and your service area. A signing agent card leads with "Notary Signing Agent" or "Loan Signing Agent", and is written for title, escrow and lending offices: availability, counties, certification and a fast way to book.

Can I put the NNA Certified Signing Agent mark on my card?

If you hold the certification, the NNA publishes a usage guide for its certification mark, which covers business cards. Send us the official mark files and we'll set it exactly as the guide asks. We're not affiliated with the NNA.

Do state rules affect what goes on my card?

Yes. Rules differ by state, so Texas notary business cards and California ones, for example, may need different wording. Some states require non-attorney notaries who advertise to say they aren't attorneys and can't give legal advice, especially when advertising in languages other than English. Tell us your state and languages and we'll leave room for the exact wording.

Which paper can I write on?

Uncoated and cotton. Matte is coated, and silk, soft touch, gloss and laminate resist a ballpoint. If you write appointment times on your cards, choose uncoated (from 52 US$ for 100) or cotton.

How much do notary business cards cost?

From 52 US$ for 100 uncoated, 210 US$ for 500 with flat gold foil, and from 310 US$ for 250 with gold foil on 32pt cotton. Every order includes a free proof checked by a person and free shipping within the continental US.

How long do notary business cards take?

Uncoated ships in 3–4 business days after proof approval, flat foil on silk in about 7 business days, and cotton, foil and embossing in about 3 weeks. These are estimates, not delivery guarantees.

Can you match the colours of my notary or signing business?

Yes. We match a hex colour to the nearest Pantone and tell you how far it moved, for ink, foil colour or a painted edge.
