Cotton turns vivid oranges into a softer, more tactile colour; coated stock holds their brightness. On coloured paper the sheet shifts the hue, so choose opaque foil when a bright orange must stand clear of a dark ground.

- The same ink is not the same colour on the two stocks. On coated sheets the ink sits on a sealed surface: denser, brighter, sharper edges. On uncoated the fibres absorb it: softer, duller, slightly lighter, and warm colours lose the most punch. Some colours change character outright: brights go chalky, deep navies go grey-blue.
- Offset and letterpress inks are translucent. On a dark or coloured stock a light ink will not cover: it sinks into the sheet and reads tone-on-tone. For light colour on dark paper the answer is foil stamping or an opaque screen pass, never a straight PMS hit.

- ¿Cambian estos naranjas en papel no estucado?
- Yes. Uncoated fibres absorb the ink, so it generally reads softer and less saturated. Judge the physical chip that matches your stock.
- ¿Puedo tener estos naranjas sobre papel oscuro?
- Las tintas estándar de offset y letterpress son translúcidas. Para un color claro sobre papel oscuro, elige un foil opaco o una pasada adecuada de serigrafía.
- ¿Podéis igualar uno de estos en CMYK?
- A veces. Una aproximación en cuatricromía puede servir para imágenes, pero en grandes áreas planas de color de marca la diferencia se nota más. Compara las referencias físicas en el papel elegido.
- ¿Puede el CMYK alcanzar un naranja directo intenso?
- Muchos naranjas intensos quedan fuera de la gama de cuatricromía. Usa una tinta directa para una marca plana en la que el color sea crítico. Recurre a una aproximación en cuatricromía solo si el resultado más suave es aceptable.
