Pantone blacks imprimimos
No existe un único negro. Black 6 es el frío y denso; Black 5 es un negro amarronado; un negro de cuatricromía directo sobre papel sin estucar se acerca más al carbón.

Black lifts toward charcoal on cotton; coated stock generally holds a denser reading. On dark coloured paper it becomes tonal, so a contrasting foil is better when the mark must stand out.
Qué saber antes de especificarlo
- The same ink is not the same colour on the two stocks. On coated sheets the ink sits on a sealed surface: denser, brighter, sharper edges. On uncoated the fibres absorb it: softer, duller, slightly lighter, and warm colours lose the most punch. Some colours change character outright: brights go chalky, deep navies go grey-blue.
- Offset and letterpress inks are translucent. On a dark or coloured stock a light ink will not cover: it sinks into the sheet and reads tone-on-tone. For light colour on dark paper the answer is foil stamping or an opaque screen pass, never a straight PMS hit.

- ¿Cambian estos negros en papel no estucado?
- Yes. Uncoated fibres absorb the ink, so it generally reads softer and less saturated. Judge the physical chip that matches your stock.
- ¿Puedo conseguir estos negros sobre papel oscuro?
- Las tintas estándar de offset y letterpress son translúcidas. Para un color claro sobre papel oscuro, elige un foil opaco o una pasada adecuada de serigrafía.
- ¿Podéis igualar uno de estos en CMYK?
- A veces. Una aproximación en cuatricromía puede servir para imágenes, pero en grandes áreas planas de color de marca la diferencia se nota más. Compara las referencias físicas en el papel elegido.
- ¿Un negro directo es lo mismo que un negro CMYK enriquecido?
- No. Un negro directo usa una sola tinta mezclada; el negro enriquecido en cuatricromía consigue densidad con varias tintas. El diseño, el papel y las necesidades de registro determinan qué opción conviene a cada trabajo.
