Our custom gift tags are made for the tag you tie to a client gift, a hamper or a wrapped box. They're 32pt cotton, stamped with real hot foil, drilled and strung with cotton string, and left blank on the back so someone can write the note by hand. The fixed-price Signature tag is 2 × 3.5 inches and starts at $249 for 100 gift tags, or $395 for 250. Round tags, letterpress, painted edges and ribbon are quoted through the Studio.
Gift tags take about 3 weeks of production after you approve the proof, plus transit. For December gifts, that means approving a proof by early November. The dates are below, and every one of them is an estimate, not a guarantee.

Begin met Signature op 250.
At 32pt the tag is already about as thick as a credit card, far heavier than the folded paper tags in a gift-wrap aisle. For most gifts that weight, plus one foil and a handwritten name, does the whole job. Move up to Atelier when the gift itself is small and expensive. Go custom when the shape, the ribbon or the names matter as much as the mark.
Cadeaulabels voor de feestdagen: wanneer bestel je voor december
Count back from the day the gifts get packed, not the day they're opened. If your team or a gifting company packs the boxes in early December, the tags have to be on the packing table before that.
Pressed tags take time: about 3 weeks of production after you approve the proof, plus shipping. For tags in hand in the first week of December, approve your proof by Friday, October 30. Friday, November 6 is the last date we'd recommend for December.

Gepersonaliseerde cadeaulabels: met pen, of een naam in folie
Most gift tags carry the brand on the front and a person on the back. That's why the Signature tag's back is blank. Uncoated cotton takes a ballpoint, a gel pen or a pencil cleanly, and a handwritten name does more for a gift than any finish we sell. If you plan to use a fountain pen or a wet felt-tip, test it on a sample first, because soft cotton can feather a very wet line.
The landmine is foil. Pen ink doesn't grip a metal film, so it skips and smears. If you want "To" and "From" printed on the tag (that makes it a custom tag), we set those words in foil, at least 7 pt so the foil doesn't fill in, and leave the writing space as bare paper. Fine writing rules hold in foil to 0.1 mm; we design to 0.15 mm and adjust only lines below the floor.
A different name on every tag is possible, but it changes the price. Foil is stamped from a metal die, and every different name needs its own die, so names in foil are priced per name. Names in ink avoid the die cost, if your order qualifies.

Cadeaulabels voor relatiegeschenken, bruiloftsbedankjes en cadeauverpakking
Client and team gifts. Corporate gift tags go on a holiday box, a bottle or a hamper, and the tag is often the only printed piece in the gift. One foil mark on the front, a handwritten line from whoever signs it on the back. Order the tags with matching foil seals and an insert card, and the whole gift reads as one piece of work.
Wedding favor tags. Your names or monogram and the date, one design for every favor. Small favors want a smaller tag, such as a 1.5 × 3 inch or a 2-inch round. Wedding favor tags are quoted with the rest of your wedding stationery rather than sold from the fixed-price ladder above, so ask for a quote and tell us the wedding date. Use the same foil as your wedding invitations and the favor table matches the suite. Guest names on each tag follow the per-name rule in section 5.
Retail gift-wrap programmes. A shop's gift-wrap counter goes through tags fast in December. A tag with your mark tied to every wrapped purchase is a small cost per gift at the 500 and 1,000 tiers. Pair it with a foil seal on the paper.
Bottles, jars and food gifts. A tag on an elastic loop slips over a bottle neck or a jar lid with no knot to tie on the packing line. Elastic loops are a custom option.
Product launches and PR boxes. A tag tied around a custom box is the cheapest way to put your foil on the outside of the package without stamping the box itself.

Two rules apply to every gift tag. White on a dark tag is white pigment foil, never white ink, because ink sinks into dark cotton and turns chalky. And foil stays at least 3 mm in from the edge and the hole, or runs right off the edge, because a sliver of foil at the trim looks like a mistake.

- Cotton string (fixed-price tags): natural, black or white. Knots cleanly on a box or a bottle neck. The fixed-price tags arrive drilled and strung.
- Ribbon: reads more festive than string. A drilled hole sized for string is too small for most ribbon, so ribbon tags get a wider hole or a die-cut slot, quoted as custom.
- Waxed cotton cord: stiffer than string and holds a crisp knot.
- Elastic loop: slips over a bottle neck or a jar lid.

A gift tag rarely travels alone. Foil seals close the tissue or the wrap in the same foil colours, from $195 for 250. Our packaging insert cards use the same 32pt cotton and foils, from $259 for 100. Order them together and we check them against one approved spec, so the gold on the seal is the gold on the tag.
One thing worth knowing up front: the same foil looks slightly brighter on smooth seal stock than on textured cotton, because the cotton fibres break up the reflection. We'll show you that on the proof rather than promise an identical look.

Wat kosten bedrukte cadeaulabels?
Our Signature gift tag, 2 × 3.5 inches on 32pt cotton with one hot foil and a blank back, is € 229 for 100, € 365 for 250, € 485 for 500 and € 785 for 1,000, drilled and strung with cotton string. The 48pt duplex Atelier tag with foil and a deboss is € 625 for 250, € 849 for 500 and € 1.295 for 1,000. Round tags, ribbon, letterpress and painted edges are quoted.
Wat is de minimale bestelling voor cadeaulabels op maat?
100 labels voor het Signature-label en 250 voor het Atelier-label. Heb je er minder nodig, vraag het ons. Kleinere oplagen zijn op aanvraag mogelijk, maar de prijs per label stijgt sterk, omdat het foliecliché en het instellen van de pers bij elke oplage hetzelfde kosten.
Kan ik op de cadeaulabels schrijven?
Ja. De achterkant van het Signature-label is blank, ongestreken katoen. Balpen, gelpen en potlood schrijven er schoon op. Test een vulpen of natte viltstift eerst op een proefstuk, want zacht katoen kan een heel natte lijn laten uitlopen. Schrijf niet op folie: inkt slaat over en vlekt op de metaalfilm, dus schrijfruimte blijft altijd kaal papier.
Wanneer bestel ik cadeaulabels voor de feestdagen?
Wil je de labels in de eerste week van december in handen hebben, keur je proef dan uiterlijk rond vrijdag 30 oktober goed. Vrijdag 6 november is de laatste proefdatum die we voor december aanraden, met levering rond 7–11 december. Dit zijn schattingen, geen garanties. Ze tellen vanaf proefgoedkeuring, dus houd een paar dagen rekening met proefrondes. Reken terug vanaf de dag waarop de cadeaus worden ingepakt, niet de dag waarop ze worden gegeven.
Kan elk cadeaulabel een andere naam hebben?
Ja, maar dat verandert de prijs. Folie wordt gestempeld met een metalen cliché, en elke andere naam heeft een eigen cliché nodig, dus namen in folie worden per naam geprijsd. Namen in inkt vermijden die kosten als je bestelling daarvoor in aanmerking komt. Voor enkele tientallen ontvangers is de namen met de hand op de blanco achterkant schrijven sneller, goedkoper en persoonlijker.
Worden de cadeaulabels geleverd met touw of lint?
De labels met vaste prijs worden geboord en voorzien van katoenen touw in naturel, zwart of wit. Lint, gewaxt katoenen koord en elastische lussen zijn opties op maat. Lint vraagt een groter gat of een gestanste sleuf dan touw, daarom worden labels met lint op offerte geleverd.
Welk formaat moet een cadeaulabel hebben?
2 × 3,5 inch (50,8 × 88,9 mm) past bij de meeste dozen, flessen en manden, en is het formaat van onze labels met vaste prijs. Een rond label van 2 inch (50,8 mm) of 2,5 inch (63,5 mm) oogt feestelijker en past bij feestdagcadeaus en huwelijksbedankjes. Kleine bedankjes en sieradendoosjes krijgen een label van 1,5 × 3 inch (38,1 × 76,2 mm). Elk ander formaat dan 2 × 3,5 offreren we als maatwerk.
Kan ons logo op cadeaulabels?
Yes. Your logo is stamped in hot foil on the front. Foil lines hold to 0.1 mm; we design to 0.15 mm and foil type at least 7 pt at the printed size, we adjust only below-floor lines, preserving the logo’s character, and a gradient becomes one solid tone. A person checks your file and shows you any change on the proof before anything is stamped.

The build is the same: thick cotton, hot foil, a drilled hole and string. The job is different. A gift tag goes on a gift and usually leaves the back blank for a note. Maken jullie labels voor bruiloftsbedankjes?
Ja. Labels voor bedankjes op een bruiloft dragen meestal de namen of het monogram van het paar en de datum, met één ontwerp voor elk bedankje, vaak in dezelfde folie als de uitnodigingen. Een kleiner of rond label past bij de meeste bedankjes. Deze labels worden samen met de rest van je trouwdrukwerk geoffreerd en niet verkocht via de vaste prijsstaffel. Vraag dus een offerte aan en vermeld de datum. Gastnamen op elk label worden per naam geprijsd, zoals bij elke gepersonaliseerde folie.
Kunnen cadeaulabels passen bij onze dozen, zegels en insteekkaarten?
Ja. Onze insteekkaarten gebruiken hetzelfde 32pt katoen en dezelfde folies, en onze foliezegels dezelfde foliekleuren. Bestel ze samen en we controleren ze tegen één goedgekeurde specificatie. Dezelfde folie oogt iets helderder op glad zegelpapier dan op gestructureerd katoen. Dat laten we je zien op de proef.
Kan ik een sample zien voordat ik cadeaulabels bestel?
Ja. Onze monsterset kost € 9, met een tegoed van € 15 voor je eerste bestelling. De set is opgebouwd rond visitekaartjes, niet rond cadeaulabels, maar bevat monsters van onze papiersoorten en afwerkingen plus de hot foil-staalkaart met elke folie die we op voorraad hebben. Zo beoordeel je het papier, de folie en je pen in je eigen licht.
Verzenden jullie cadeaulabels buiten de VS?
Ja. Europese vervoerders hanteren hun eigen deadlines in december. Laat het ons dus op tijd weten, dan bevestigen we de data voor jouw land voordat je betaalt. Voor andere bestemmingen: laat ons weten waar de tags naartoe gaan, dan bevestigen we de verzending voordat je bestelt.
Hoe lang duren custom cadeaulabels?
Ongeveer 3 weken productie nadat je de proef hebt goedgekeurd, plus verzending. Reken op zo'n vijf weken van bestelling tot labels in handen, zodat er tijd is voor artwork en proefrondes. Welk papier is het beste voor cadeaulabels?
Voor een label waarop iemand schrijft: een dik, ongestreken papier. Het onze is 32pt katoen: zacht, mat en ongeveer zo dik als een creditcard. Zo houdt het label zijn vorm op een doos en glijdt een pen soepel over de achterkant. Glanzend gestreken karton oogt strak, maar balpen- en gelinkt blijft op de coating liggen en kan vlekken. Heeft het label ook een blinddruk, dan verlijmen we twee vellen tot 48pt duplex, zodat de indruk niet zichtbaar is aan de kant waarop je schrijft.
