Pantone® 806 Coated: Pantone 806 en coated papel
Translúcido: no cubre papel oscuro. Los impresores lo escriben PMS 806 C; las guías de marca suelen escribirlo Pantone® 806 Coated. Misma tinta, misma plancha: la letra es el papel sobre el que cae. En uncoated papel del mismo color es PMS 806 U, y no se ve igual.

Estucado o no estucado, con honestidad
Ver 806 C y 806 U lado a ladoThe same ink is not the same colour on the two stocks. On coated sheets the ink sits on a sealed surface: denser, brighter, sharper edges. On uncoated the fibres absorb it: softer, duller, slightly lighter, and warm colours lose the most punch. Some colours change character outright: brights go chalky, deep navies go grey-blue.

Cómo se comporta en producción
- Fluorescent pink: the loudest ink we run and the most-requested neon by a distance.
- Se decolora. El sol directo lo apaga visiblemente en pocos meses. Guardado en un cajón dura años. Nunca elijas un fluorescente para algo que vivirá en un escaparate.
- Se imprime mejor en sólido. Las tramas de un fluorescente pierden la fluorescencia y solo se ven pálidas.
Sobre papel oscuro
Offset and letterpress inks are translucent. On a dark or coloured stock a light ink will not cover: it sinks into the sheet and reads tone-on-tone. For light colour on dark paper the answer is foil stamping or an opaque screen pass, never a straight PMS hit.

- What does Pantone 806 look like on uncoated paper?
- Más suave, más apagado y algo más claro que la muestra estucada. Las fibras sin estucar absorben la tinta en lugar de dejarla sobre una superficie sellada, así que la saturación baja en general. La muestra sin estucar se ha modelado a partir de la aproximación estucada: pide el kit de muestras o pídenos que seleccionemos las tintas después de tu pedido.
- Can you print Pantone 806 on dark or coloured stock?
- Not as a standard ink hit. Pantone 806 is translucent, so on dark stock the paper colour comes through and the result is tone-on-tone. For this colour on dark paper we foil stamp or run an opaque screen instead.
- Can Pantone 806 be matched in CMYK?
- Ninguna mezcla de cuatricromía lo alcanza. Es solo color directo, sin excepción.
- Will Pantone 806 fade?
- Fluorescents fade. UV exposure kills them in months in a window, years in a drawer. They also cannot be matched in CMYK: there is no process build that reaches them, so a neon is a spot ink or it is nothing.
