- For a dark-edge look on a light card (bold / contrast / maximalist), the correct path is BLACK edge-painting on cotton_32pt or cotton_48pt — reach for that instead.
Common questions
- Is Triplex black core dyed through?
- No. Triplex black core is not a dyed-through sheet, so a cut edge will not match the printed face. If you need a coloured edge on this stock we add painted edging as a separate operation.
- Can you letterpress on Triplex black core?
- Yes — it is one of the techniques we run on this stock. Letterpress ink is semi-translucent, so on darker shades it reads tone-on-tone; on light shades it prints as expected.
- What weights do you stock Triplex black core in?
- 48pt (~900gsm). Heavier weights can usually be duplexed to order — ask and we will confirm before quoting.
- Can I see it before I order?
