How it behaves in production
- Present as a substantial slab — the edge itself is the hero.
- Edge painting reads as a clean coloured band ~1.5mm thick at 48pt.
- Hot-foil-stamped edges (any colour, incl. holographic) are en vogue — call for them when the brief wants event-level polish.
- Never render thin or flexible; this stock is architectural.
- Cotton thickness tiers we push: 16pt, 32pt (go-to), and 48pt (this stock). 64pt exists but is super-custom / by request only — never recommend by default.
Common questions
- Is 48pt dyed through?
- No. 48pt is not a dyed-through sheet, so a cut edge will not match the printed face. If you need a coloured edge on this stock we add painted edging as a separate operation.
- Can you letterpress on 48pt?
- Yes — it is one of the techniques we run on this stock. Letterpress ink is semi-translucent, so on darker shades it reads tone-on-tone; on light shades it prints as expected.
- What weights do you stock 48pt in?
- 48pt (~900gsm). Heavier weights can usually be duplexed to order — ask and we will confirm before quoting.
- Can I see it before I order?
- Yes, and you should. Screens flatten texture and shift colour. We send physical samples of any stock in this directory before you commit.
