How it behaves in production
- Darkest of the three veneers — cool chocolate with a straight, tight grain, never the reddish cast of cherry.
- Laser burn barely separates from the stock; contrast comes from the sheen of the char, not from colour.
Common questions
- Is Wood veneer, walnut dyed through?
- No. Wood veneer, walnut is not a dyed-through sheet, so a cut edge will not match the printed face. If you need a coloured edge on this stock we add painted edging as a separate operation.
- Can you letterpress on Wood veneer, walnut?
- We do not recommend letterpress on Wood veneer, walnut. For light type on this stock we use foil stamping instead, which is opaque and sits cleanly on the surface.
- What weights do you stock Wood veneer, walnut in?
- Weight on request. Heavier weights can usually be duplexed to order — ask and we will confirm before quoting.
- Can I see it before I order?
- Yes, and you should. Screens flatten texture and shift colour. We send physical samples of any stock in this directory before you commit.

CHENHUI Matte Silver is the only honest way to get a light mark onto a sheet this dark — ink would sink into it. On a textured stock the foil sits proud and the sheet stays matte around it.
