GAALA Jewelry — notecards
GAALA needed a card that matched the weight of the jewelry it accompanied. Black cotton, gold foil, gilded edges: the card is part of the unboxing.

Two rules
- 01Gold foil on black cotton. Stamped with a slightly hotter die and a longer dwell so the foil sits down into the tooth, and kept the letterform weight above hairline.
- 02Gilded edges on all four sides. Gilded after trim in a single clamped pass so all four edges carry the same gold as the foil on the face.
The brief
Square jewelry insert card 8.5×8.5 cm on 32pt black cotton: "GAALA" wordmark in a thin geometric sans, gold hot foil, centred on the front; care and authenticity text on the back in white ink small caps; edges gilded gold; shown resting inside a small black jewelry box lid.

Questions
- What is the GAALA Jewelry notecards printed on?
- 32pt black cotton, Gold hot foil, White ink, Gilded edges, 85 × 85 mm. Every line of that spec is what actually ran, not a proposal.
- Why gold foil on black cotton?
- Black cotton has tooth. A thin foil line can break up across the fibre and look chewed. Stamped with a slightly hotter die and a longer dwell so the foil sits down into the tooth, and kept the letterform weight above hairline.
- Can Print Peppermint print this specification again?
- Yes. The materials on this page are live registry items, and the Studio link opens with the same paper, foil and finish locked in for your own artwork.
