A band that folds into a gift sleeve
The Ritz-Carlton Waikiki's Lunar New Year dried-fruit gift needed a wrap that assembled in-house. The band folds to a sleeve with side panels, foil on the front, blank where the spec said blank.

Two rules
- 01A band that folds to a sleeve. Ran the folds with the grain, scored before folding, and put the single 0.5 inch glue tab on the back panel where it never shows.
- 02Foil on the face only. Kept the gold on the front face inside the fold lines and blind embossed the wave on the side panel instead.
The brief
Lunar New Year dried-fruit packaging: a 5×6.125 in folded belly band with 2.125 in side panels and a 0.5 in glue tab, 4×17 in flat, wrapping a cream box; 130lb vermilion red uncoated cover; gold hot foil lion crest and "THE RITZ-CARLTON" serif caps on the front panel; blind-embossed wave pattern on the side panels; top and bottom left blank as specified.
