Embossed Business Cards

Embossed business cards use pressure and a custom die to raise selected elements — a logo, a name, a border — above the card surface, creating depth you can see and feel. The technique suits marks that rely on form rather than color: a strong monogram, a geometric icon, a typographic treatment that earns its presence through structure alone. When the design is stripped back, the emboss does the work.

Most of our embossed cards are printed on 16pt to 32pt stock, with heavier boards producing a crisper, more defined lift. Blind emboss — no ink, no foil — is the purest application, but the technique pairs well with letterpress and edge paint when a second tactile layer is warranted. Lead times run 8–12 business days for standard orders, with die creation factored into the first production run.

The 45 designs in the gallery below cover a range of approaches — minimal white cards where the emboss is the only mark, darker stocks where the relief catches light rather than contrast, and combination treatments that use foil on flat areas alongside a raised centerpiece. Browse them to see how the technique scales from restrained to considered.
