Debossed Business Cards
29 designs in our gallery
Debossed business cards press a design element — typically a logo, monogram, or typographic detail — into the card stock without ink, leaving a recessed impression that reads through touch as much as sight. The technique suits brands that prefer restraint: no colour, no shine, just the quiet authority of form pressed into material. It tends to appear on thick, uncoated stocks where the substrate has enough body to hold a clean edge and enough texture to make the shadow of the impression visible under raking light.
Most debossed cards at Print Peppermint are produced on stocks between 600gsm and 800gsm — soft enough to compress cleanly, rigid enough that the card does not bow after pressing. Lead time runs seven to twelve business days depending on die complexity. The finish pairs naturally with letterpress for body text, edge paint for a secondary colour hit, or a raw uncoated surface left entirely bare for maximum tactile contrast.
The 29 designs in the gallery below span minimal identity work, luxury hospitality, and independent creative practices — a useful cross-section if you are still deciding how much of the card face to commit to the impression versus conventional print. Browse them to get a practical sense of scale, placement, and stock choice before briefing your own.
