The story
Cocktail is Fedrigoni's party dress: a coloured sheet coated on both faces with mica, the mineral that gives pearl its glow, so the colour shifts and shimmers as it moves. Each shade is named for a drink, from inky Black Russian and midnight Blue Moon to Curacao teal, golden Mai Tai and the pearl-white White Lady. With just two weights, 120 and 290 gsm, it is built for wraps, linings, invitations and boxes where a little glamour goes a long way.
ECF pulp, FSC Mix
Where it shines
- luxury packaging
- invitations and greeting cards
- corporate literature
- covers and inserts
How we print it
- offset with oxidative / plastic / UV inks
- hot foil (foils for coated/plastic surfaces)
- blind emboss
- screen
Worth knowing
- non-porous pearl surface: slow drying (8 to 24 h+), keep water low, anti-set-off spray, small stacks
- score before folding; pearl coatings can crack on tight folds at 290 gsm
- lamination can show micro-defects; test adhesive
Feel it first
A screen cannot tell you how a sheet feels. Compare the weight, surface and colour in hand.
