    How it behaves in production

    • Gmund Colors Matt 64 · Racing Green — deep forest green. Uncoated dyed-through coloured stock (300gsm) with a fine felt-matte surface and no sheen at all; the colour reads flat and fully saturated.
    • DYED THROUGH — the colour runs the full thickness of the sheet, so a cut edge, a die-cut aperture and a drilled hole all come back the same colour as the face. Never render a white or grey core at the edge. Edge painting in the same colour is redundant on this stock.
    • INK TRANSLUCENCY: litho and letterpress inks are translucent, so on this saturated base any ink lighter than the sheet goes muddy or disappears entirely. A light mark here must be a PIGMENT FOIL or an opaque screen print — never a light ink.
    • Fine felt-matte and uncoated — never described as coated, glossy, pearlescent, sparkling or fibrous.

    Common questions

Is Gmund Colors Matt 64 · Racing Green dyed through?
Yes. The colour runs all the way through the sheet, so a cut, debossed, or die-cut edge shows the same deep forest green as the face — no white core.
Can you letterpress on Gmund Colors Matt 64 · Racing Green?
We do not recommend letterpress on Gmund Colors Matt 64 · Racing Green. For light type on this stock we use foil stamping instead, which is opaque and sits cleanly on the surface.
What weights do you stock Gmund Colors Matt 64 · Racing Green in?
300 gsm. Heavier weights can usually be duplexed to order — ask and we will confirm before quoting.
Can I see it before I order?
Yes, and you should. Screens flatten texture and shift colour. We send physical samples of any stock in this directory before you commit.

CHENHUI Matte (MT series) Brushed Gold is the only honest way to get a light mark onto a sheet this dark — ink would sink into it. On a smooth dyed-through stock the foil sits proud and the sheet stays matte around it.
