How it behaves in production

Materica — warm terracotta clay. Cotton + wool/algae fibre blend with a chunky natural texture in an earthy tone.
Letterpress bites clean. Foil (aged gold, copper, black) pairs beautifully with the earth tone. Blind emboss/deboss reads strong.
Statement tier — never a default; strong for ceramics, food/wine, artisan hospitality, earthy wedding briefs.

Common questions

Is Materica Clay dyed through?: Yes. The colour runs all the way through the sheet, so a cut, debossed, or die-cut edge shows the same warm terracotta clay as the face — no white core.
Can you letterpress on Materica Clay?: Yes — it is one of the techniques we run on this stock. Letterpress ink is semi-translucent, so on darker shades it reads tone-on-tone; on light shades it prints as expected.
What weights do you stock Materica Clay in?: 250 gsm. Heavier weights can usually be duplexed to order — ask and we will confirm before quoting.
Can I see it before I order?: Yes, and you should. Screens flatten texture and shift colour. We send physical samples of any stock in this directory before you commit.
