    One word, in red

Card for Megabass of America: a red foil wordmark on a black face and a bilingual Japanese–English reverse with pale contact lettering.

Business-cards for Megabass of America with red mark foil stamping, black card, pale reverse lettering and bilingual.

    The idea

Megabass is a Japanese maker of fishing lures and tackle. Its US company, Megabass of America, is based at 203 Chambers Street in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania. The card shown is for the company's president and CEO.

    Two rules

    1. 01The wordmark alone. Only the red wordmark, centred on black.
    2. 02Bilingual in white. The Japanese name set small above the English, on the left, with a labelled contact column on the right.

    Why it works

The front is exactly the brand, and the back handles the business in two languages.

    Start from these materials

Same paper, foil and finish, locked in — nothing of Megabass of America's artwork comes with it.

    Questions

Can Japanese text be printed on a business card?
Yes. Supply outlined type or embedded fonts, and have a native reader check the proof.
Does red foil work on black?
A red metallic foil reads brightly on black.
    Should bilingual cards be two-sided?
Often yes, one language per side. Here both names sit together because the reverse is the business side.
