MINE — business cards
MINE sent a card file and a separate varnish file. The varnish layer is the design.

Two rules
- 01Varnish as the design. Ran the varnish as a full-front repeat rather than a single mark, so any drift reads as pattern instead of misregistration.
- 02White ink on the reverse. Two hits of white, the second registered tight to the first, with the type size held up so the double hit does not thicken it shut.
The brief
Business card 3.5×2 in on 16pt matte black silk: "MINE" in a heavy extended sans set as a glossy spot-UV varnish pattern repeating across the whole front, black-on-black; back in white ink with contacts.

Questions
- What is the MINE business cards printed on?
- 16pt silk, matte, Spot UV varnish, White ink. Every line of that spec is what actually ran, not a proposal.
- Why varnish as the design?
- Spot UV on matte black silk shows every registration error, and a repeating pattern multiplies the error across the sheet. Ran the varnish as a full-front repeat rather than a single mark, so any drift reads as pattern instead of misregistration.
- Can Print Peppermint print this specification again?
- Yes. The materials on this page are live registry items, and the Studio link opens with the same paper, foil and finish locked in for your own artwork.
