Vistaprint is built for volume and speed — ideal if you need 500 basic cards by Thursday and cost is your primary concern. MOO occupies the middle ground: better paper quality than Vistaprint, with some premium options, and a polished online design tool. Print Peppermint is for people who care about the card itself as much as what's printed on it.

We're not the right choice for everyone. If you need the cheapest possible card, Vistaprint will serve you well. If you want a genuinely premium card — foil stamping, letterpress, embossing, edge painting, specialty materials — that's where we operate.

Paper and material options

Vistaprint offers a limited selection of coated and uncoated stocks. MOO has expanded to include cotton and a few premium papers. Print Peppermint offers over 15 base materials including cotton, kraft, wood veneer, metal, plastic (frosted, white, black), and multiple paper weights from 16pt to 48pt.

Finishing capabilities

This is where the differences become most significant. Vistaprint offers basic coating options (matte, gloss, spot UV on select products). MOO offers foil stamping and spot UV on some products. Print Peppermint offers hot foil stamping, raised digital foil, spot UV (flat and raised), letterpress (blind and ink), embossing and debossing, die-cutting, edge painting, and combinations of multiple techniques on a single card.

Pricing comparison

Vistaprint starts under $20 for 250 basic cards. MOO starts around $50-80 for 50 cards. Print Peppermint's Quick Ship products start at $99 for 50 cards with premium finishing included. Our Studio products range from $179 to $599+ depending on techniques and quantity.

The price difference reflects a fundamentally different product. Comparing a Vistaprint card to a foil-stamped, edge-painted card on 32pt cotton stock is like comparing a printed poster to a letterpress print — they serve different purposes.

Turnaround and shipping

Vistaprint offers the fastest turnaround — as quick as next-day for basic products. MOO ships in 5-7 business days. Print Peppermint's standard turnaround is 3-7 business days for Quick Ship orders and approximately 3 weeks (shipping included) for Studio and Custom projects.
