How it behaves in production
- GF Smith Colorplan Amethyst — smooth uncoated European stock, dyed through to the core.
- Because it is dyed through, a cut edge, deboss, or die-cut aperture shows the SAME colour as the face — never a white core.
- Surface is smooth and matte with a faint natural tooth. Never render it coated, glossy, or laminated.
- Light enough that letterpress behaves normally — no darkening caveat needed.
- Foil against this shade reads soft and modern; matte metallics especially.

- Is Colorplan Amethyst dyed through?
- Yes. The colour runs all the way through the sheet, so a cut, debossed, or die-cut edge shows the same amethyst as the face — no white core.
- Can you letterpress on Colorplan Amethyst?
