How it behaves in production
- Not a grain — bamboo reads as fine parallel fibre lines with occasional node marks running the length of the piece.
- Laser burn goes a clean mid-brown on bamboo and holds finer detail than any of the veneers.
Common questions
- Is Bamboo ply dyed through?
- No. Bamboo ply is not a dyed-through sheet, so a cut edge will not match the printed face. If you need a coloured edge on this stock we add painted edging as a separate operation.
- Can you letterpress on Bamboo ply?
- We do not recommend letterpress on Bamboo ply. For light type on this stock we use foil stamping instead, which is opaque and sits cleanly on the surface.
- What weights do you stock Bamboo ply in?
- Weight on request. Heavier weights can usually be duplexed to order — ask and we will confirm before quoting.
- Can I see it before I order?
- Yes, and you should. Screens flatten texture and shift colour. We send physical samples of any stock in this directory before you commit.
