How it behaves in production
- Warm gold plating over a brushed grain — soft directional sheen, never a mirror.
- Do not add gold foil to a gold metal piece: the sheet already carries the shine.
Common questions
- Is Brushed gold metal dyed through?
- No. Brushed gold metal is not a dyed-through sheet, so a cut edge will not match the printed face. If you need a coloured edge on this stock we add painted edging as a separate operation.
- Can you letterpress on Brushed gold metal?
- We do not recommend letterpress on Brushed gold metal. For light type on this stock we use foil stamping instead, which is opaque and sits cleanly on the surface.
- What weights do you stock Brushed gold metal in?
