How it behaves in production
- A packaging board, not a card stock: it scores, folds and holds a carton wall.
- Uncoated and matte with visible board tooth. Ink sits into the surface and dries back — never render it glossy or laminated.
- Flood colours print slightly softer and duller than a coated sheet. That absorption is the look.
Common questions
- Is Uncoated folding carton board dyed through?
- No. Uncoated folding carton board is not a dyed-through sheet, so a cut edge will not match the printed face. If you need a coloured edge on this stock we add painted edging as a separate operation.
- Can you letterpress on Uncoated folding carton board?
- We do not recommend letterpress on Uncoated folding carton board. For light type on this stock we use foil stamping instead, which is opaque and sits cleanly on the surface.
- What weights do you stock Uncoated folding carton board in?
- 350 gsm. Heavier weights can usually be duplexed to order — ask and we will confirm before quoting.
- Can I see it before I order?
