How it behaves in production
- GF Smith Colorplan Bright White — smooth uncoated European stock, dyed through to the core.
- Because it is dyed through, a cut edge, deboss, or die-cut aperture shows the SAME colour as the face — never a white core.
- Surface is smooth and matte with a faint natural tooth. Never render it coated, glossy, or laminated.
- Light enough that letterpress behaves normally — no darkening caveat needed.
- Foil against this shade reads soft and modern; matte metallics especially.
Common questions
- Is Colorplan Bright White dyed through?
- Yes. The colour runs all the way through the sheet, so a cut, debossed, or die-cut edge shows the same bright white as the face — no white core.
- Can you letterpress on Colorplan Bright White?
- Yes — it is one of the techniques we run on this stock. Letterpress ink is semi-translucent, so on darker shades it reads tone-on-tone; on light shades it prints as expected.
- What weights do you stock Colorplan Bright White in?
- 350 gsm. Heavier weights can usually be duplexed to order — ask and we will confirm before quoting.
- Can I see it before I order?
- Yes, and you should. Screens flatten texture and shift colour. We send physical samples of any stock in this directory before you commit.

Colorplan Bright White + PANTONE 294
A deep navy letterpressed into a soft cotton-adjacent sheet. On uncoated the 294 comes back a step softer than the coated chip — that is the look, not a fault. Push the impression and you can feel every counter under your thumb.
