How it behaves in production
- Fully transparent — whatever is behind the card reads through it. Ink is the only opaque element.
- White ink underlay is required anywhere legibility matters; without it type disappears against a busy background.
Common questions
- Is Clear plastic dyed through?
- No. Clear plastic is not a dyed-through sheet, so a cut edge will not match the printed face. If you need a coloured edge on this stock we add painted edging as a separate operation.
- Can you letterpress on Clear plastic?
- We do not recommend letterpress on Clear plastic. For light type on this stock we use foil stamping instead, which is opaque and sits cleanly on the surface.
- What weights do you stock Clear plastic in?
- 30pt. Heavier weights can usually be duplexed to order — ask and we will confirm before quoting.
- Can I see it before I order?
- Yes, and you should. Screens flatten texture and shift colour. We send physical samples of any stock in this directory before you commit.
