How it behaves in production
- Granular speckled surface — irregular light and dark flecks, never a smooth tan field.
- Ink sinks and softens on cork; fine hairlines close up, so type must be set heavier than on paper.
Common questions
- Is Natural cork sheet dyed through?
- No. Natural cork sheet is not a dyed-through sheet, so a cut edge will not match the printed face. If you need a coloured edge on this stock we add painted edging as a separate operation.
- Can you letterpress on Natural cork sheet?
- We do not recommend letterpress on Natural cork sheet. For light type on this stock we use foil stamping instead, which is opaque and sits cleanly on the surface.
- What weights do you stock Natural cork sheet in?
- Weight on request. Heavier weights can usually be duplexed to order — ask and we will confirm before quoting.
- Can I see it before I order?
